30 May 2026: Closure of the Brenner Corridor

Due to extensive closures, the Brenner Corridor will not be accessible on 30 May 2026, and no local alternative route will be available. Higher traffic volumes are also expected in the days before and after 30 May.

On 30 May 2026, an officially notified assembly on the A13 Brenner motorway near Matrei am Brenner will lead to major traffic closures along the entire Brenner Corridor in Tyrol, Austria.

• The A13 Brenner motorway will be fully closed in both directions between the Schönberg toll station and the Brenner Pass from 11:00 to 19:00. For lorries, the closure will apply from 09:00.
• In addition, the B182 Brenner road and the L38 Ellbögener road will be closed to through traffic from 11:00 to 19:00 in order to maintain traffic safety and ensure security of supply.

Significant traffic delays may occur throughout Tyrol on that day. To help prevent severe traffic disruption, non-essential car journeys in Tyrol should be avoided on 30 May 2026. Where possible, public transport should be used instead.
