Austria and Hungary - Toll updates for your fleet

We would like to inform you about two toll-related updates that may be relevant if your vehicles travel in Austria and Hungary.

Hungary - Route ticket validity

From 1 May 2026, the validity of Hungarian route tickets has been extended from 120 to 300 minutes.
This means that drivers now have a longer validity window to travel on the authorised route covered by the ticket. Please take this change into account when organising journeys and purchasing route tickets for Hungary.

Austria - Fine amount update

From 1 January 2026, the following fine amounts apply in Austria:

• €270 for an incorrect declared CO2 class or EURO emission class;
• €270 if the toll has not been paid;
• €200 if the toll has been paid only in part, for example if the wrong number of axles has been set;
• €200 if the licence plate number or the device carried does not match the data registered in the system.

We remind you that correct vehicle data and OBU configuration are essential to ensure compliant toll payment and to avoid possible penalties.
